the check in process was straightforward.
my allocated room faced the courtyard , and i suffered disturbance from barking dogs at various hours. additionally , i discovered the coffee provided at breakfast was unacceptable , lacking the necessary strength and flavour i expect.

My room was spacious and well appointed. the bed was large. It was very comfortable and i got a great nights sleep. the gardens were tidy and colourful. i spent time talking to the owner, gardener, cleaners, and bar staff. i found lydia to be so helpful, polite, and a credit to the place.
i noticed the breakfast, though good, could benefit from more sausage.

The reception was often empty! it was quite noticeable when i needed to check out. also, the bar closed rather early. It was before 9pm when i returned after dinner hoping for a nightcap. the breakfast service was quite slow. It felt more like a b&b than a full hotel. i couldn't even get a mid-morning coffee since the lounge had no staff.

I found the staff friendly and accommodating. They clearly take pride in their work. the courtyard presented a peaceful and well-kept space for relaxation. i thought free parking was convenient and readily available on the premises. i also appreciated the helpful local taxi recommendations i received from staff.
The floorboards in hallways creaked rather noticeably. This was a very minor issue.

The room size was fine for my needs. It was also clean, which I appreciate.
The floors were really creaky. I mean, every footstep upstairs sounded like a herd was stampeding through my room. the shower was cold in the morning. I had to wait for twenty minutes before the water warmed up. Quite a waste of time.

WOW, Amazing STAY!

the room had GREAT space. the beds AND pillows were comfy. i found nice towels provided and the water pressure was awesome. i had enough storage for clothes. THE location near the forest suited the dog walks, a BIG plus. i appreciated the proximity to the beach.
struggled a bit with parking at times, it was a VERY minor inconvenience.

the bar area was large with plenty of outdoor space available, ideal. i saw they have ample parking available , which eases arrival and departure. i noticed there were many places for taking walks around the hotel.
